Annual Regulatory Report

The Authority publishes periodic reports summarising licensing activity, regulatory supervision, enforcement outcomes and developments within the Eritrea Gaming framework.

The annual regulatory report supports transparency and public accountability by providing applicants, licensees, regulatory counterparts and the public with an overview of the Authority’s work during the reporting period.

Purpose

The annual regulatory report provides a consolidated summary of the Authority’s principal activities and the development of the internet gaming licensing framework.

The report is intended to:

Provide transparency regarding licensing activity
Explain the Authority’s supervisory priorities
Summarise material compliance findings
Report on enforcement activity
Communicate changes to regulatory policies or standards
Identify emerging risks affecting licensed gaming
Set out priorities for the following reporting period

Subject to confidentiality and applicable legal restrictions, the annual report may include:

Number of license applications received
Number of applications approved, refused or withdrawn
Number of active licenses at the end of the period
Number of licenses issued and renewed
Number of licenses amended or transferred
Number of licenses suspended, surrendered, expired or revoked
Breakdown of B2C and B2B licenses
Summary of compliance supervision activity
Summary of regulatory inspections or reviews
Material AML/CTF developments
Responsible gaming and player protection developments
Technical and information security matters
Enforcement actions and outcomes
Changes to policies, standards or license conditions

The report may include aggregated statistics where publication of individual information would be inappropriate or legally restricted.

The report will be published after the relevant information has been reviewed and finalised. Publication timing may vary depending on the completion of regulatory assessments, enforcement matters and statistical reporting.

The Authority’s first annual regulatory report is currently in preparation and will be published on this page once it has been finalised.

Until the first full report is available, material regulatory updates will be published through the Regulatory Notices section and reflected in the Public License Register where appropriate.
